The Northern Beaches of Cairns are well-serviced with regular public bus services (timetables) connecting the beachside suburbs with each other, Smithfield Shopping Centre, Cairns City, and the Cairns southern suburbs.

Tour operator pickups and set downs, airport shuttles to and from the domestic and international terminals, and private and public bus services to Port Douglas and Daintree are also readily available.

Several reef cruise operators will also pick you up from the Palm Cove Jetty saving you a trip into the Reef Fleet Terminal in town.

At peak periods taxis may be available at certain local ranks, but placing a phone call to one of the taxi companies will have a taxi on your doorstep in just minutes.

For those who prefer to self-drive, hire companies are available for anything from a pushbike to a 48 seater bus.
